III. Who Art Thou ?

Like John, nothing special in ourselves. 1:19-22

It's who we recognize and represent that is important - Jesus, the Christ,

the Son of God

If you are a Christian, you buried you and were raised with Christ. Romans 6

If you are a Christian, it is no longer you that lives but Christ in you.

Philippians 3

If you are a Christian, you are God's hope of glory - Colossians 1

Like John, A Voice crying out in the wilderness of our nation preparing the

way for the second invasion of God to our planet. - 1:23

Like Andrew and Peter, Philip and Nathaniel, followers of Jesus sharing the

message with those we know and love being equipped to tell the world.-

1:38,39, 43

Conclusion:

You don't have to be a John and preach to the crowds unless God calls you.

But you can be an Andrew who goes and tells his brother about Jesus.

You can be like Philip who went to his skeptical friend Nathaniel and told

him about Him.

The Scriptures leave no doubt as to who Jesus is. " many other signs did

Jesus in the presence of His disciples which are not written down. but these

are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God

and that believing, you may have life in His name. " John 20:30,31

This claim demands your attention and some action on your part if you want

to have life.

" He who has the Son has the life, he who has not the Son of God does not

have the life. " I John 5:12

Do you believe that He is who the Bible says that He is? The Messiah, the

promised Saviour of God, who takes away your sins.

Is this a personal relationship or an abstract ideology that you cling to?

Jesus said that to know Him one must " Repent and believe the Gospel. "

The Gospel is that Jesus came in the flesh, lived a sinless life, gave that

life for your sins and my sins, and that to prove He could give us life

raised up from the grave to live evermore as our Saviour and our Advocate

before God.

If you are willing to pledge your allegiance to Him, confess that He is your

Saviour and that you are a sinner in need of grace you may be baptized so

that the old life may be abandoned and the new life in Him can begin.

Who are you?
